Sustainable Business Scholarship 

At Henley Nordic, we are proud to offer the Sustainable Business Scholarship, an initiative designed to support individuals who are committed to driving sustainable change in business and beyond. 

As part of the University of Reading, named Sustainable University of the Year 2025, Henley Business School shares a strong legacy of action‑driven research and education for a more resilient and sustainable future. This year, the University of Reading celebrates its 100th anniversary, and for a century it has been shaped by a deep commitment to sustainability. At Henley, we want to be part of that change and help shape what comes next.

We are offering a scholarship of up to €15,000 / ~112 000 DKK* towards the Executive MBA Global fee, with the final amount determined on an individual basis. The scholarship will be awarded to a professional who embeds sustainability holistically into their business practices and decision‑making.

Who can take part?

The scholarship is open to applicants to the Executive MBA Nordic cohort starting in October 2026 who can clearly articulate their vision for advancing sustainability in business, policy or community. If you are a purpose‑driven leader ready to make a difference, we invite you to apply and join us.

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must work in a relevant field or demonstrate influence in at least one of the following activities:

  • Environmental sustainability 

  • Societal sustainability/social impact/social enterprise 

  • Governance and financial sustainability impact 

  • Micro-sustainability impact, capturing practices affecting the well-being of people and quality work 

  • Sustainability ethic

Candidates do not need to hold an offer on the Executive MBA - Global programme before applying for the scholarship, but they are expected to have checked their eligibility to the programme. 

How to apply?

To apply for this scholarship, candidates are required to write an 800-word piece answering the question, 

"Sustainable transformation requires new skills and behaviours. What capabilities does your organisation or sector need most, and how would you build them across leadership, teams and ways of working to deliver triple bottom line outcomes?"

Essays should be submitted using the application form available on this site.
